Welcome to the fourth course in our Interactive Series for Youth!
In this course, students will be introduced to the foundations of Islamic law (fiqh) in a clear and engaging way. The program will cover the essential acts of worship including purification, prayer, fasting, zakāh, and ḥajj, providing young Muslims with the knowledge and practical guidance they need to worship their Lord with confidence and understanding.
The course is based on the text Bidayat al-Faqih al-Shafi‘i Sharḥ Mukhtasar al-Latīf, an explanation of Mukhtasar al-Latīf — a well-known primer in Shafi‘i fiqh. It was authored by Shaykh Dr. Labeeb Najeeb, one of today’s leading scholars of the Shafi‘i school. The instructor for this course studied the text directly with the author in person, ensuring the material is taught with authenticity and care.
Authentic Source: Drawn directly from a reliable Shafi‘i fiqh manual and explained in a youth-friendly way.
Accessible Learning: The material will be summarized in English, with diagrams, questions, and interactive exercises from the book carefully translated to make the lessons clear and engaging.
Structured Curriculum: Part of a carefully planned program that builds on previous courses (Seerah, Aqeedah, Hadith) and now introduces fiqh in a gradual, age-appropriate way.
Direct Transmission: Taught by a student of the author himself, Shaykh Dr. Labeeb Najeeb, in person in Indonesia — ensuring a trustworthy chain of learning.
Interactive Approach: Lessons will include class discussions, Q&A, and opportunities for students to apply their learning.
The first four sessions of this course will provide an introduction to fiqh itself — its history, development, key terminologies, and methodology — so students appreciate the bigger picture before diving into rulings.
The course will also feature:
Engaging projects and presentations
Assignments and teamwork activities
Interactive challenges to reinforce learning
A dedicated Google Classroom for instructions, homework, and updates
Classes will be held online via Google Meet, with small class sizes to ensure participation and personalized attention.
By the end of the course, students will gain a strong foundation in fiqh and an appreciation for how Islamic law guides daily worship, preparing them to continue their journey through the sciences of Islam with confidence.
Students will be marked, interacted with and evaluated in accordance to their age and level. We also have a dedicated whatsapp group for all parents to stay updated with their child’s progress.
